SCHEDULE: Full-time

The duties and responsibilities of the Diagnostic Imaging Supervisor include but are not limited to: 

  • Provides first line supervision for Diagnostic Section of Radiology. Acts as quality control for all radiographic procedures.
  • Coordinates staff schedules.  Participates in selection of new employees. Evaluates each employee as required.  
  • Assures that KRONOS information is correct and current.  Operates Meditech & PACS Information System efficiently. 
  • Inventories supplies daily.  Participates in monthly operations report review. 
  • Participates in recommendation and selection of equipment.  In conjunction with staff, assures that equipment functions as required. 
  • Responsible for the proper working of the radiology equipment. 
  • Assists Department Director with review and revision of policies and procedures annually.
  • Develops and implements Quality Improvement/Continuous Quality Improvement goals. 
  • Participates in continuing education activities to expand/enhance knowledge of Diagnostic      Radiology and to meet the continuing education requirements of the ARRT. 
  • Initiates patient teaching including family and/or significant others. 
  • Participates in the educational process ( supervision,  evaluation, and instruction) of radiography students.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE

Required - Three years experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital environment.  Computer

literate.

Preferred -Three years experience as supervisor in a Diagnostic Section of a hospital Radiology Department.

 
EDUCATION

Required -Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.  Registered by the ARRT.  CPR
certified.
