Roles and Responsibilities:
The role of the Charge Nurse is to supervise patient care administered by RN’ and PCT’s.
The Charge Nurse provides therapeutic and administrative services necessary for the care of the patient, and in support of the mission of Lee’s Summit Medical Center.
The Charge Nurse in Orthopedics provides care for ages 12-17 Years Adolescent, 18-39 Years Young Adult, 40-64 Years Adult and 65+ Geriatric patients.

Education: ADN or BSN degree preferred.
3 years current clinical nursing experience required in related field.
Must have excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal, organization and leadership skills required.
Basic computer knowledge required.
Must be able to demonstrate leadership ability with the skill to educate others.
