Florida Registered Nurse Licensure, or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)
Current BCLS Certification.
AA or equivalent from an accredited school of nursing.
Bachelors degree is preferred
Wound Care experience is required.
Acute care experience is required.
The Wound Care Nurse communicates and collaborates closely with physicians, outpatient and inpatient nurse managers, other Wound healing Center (WHC) staff and other members of the health care team to provide consistent quality of care for patients with wounds. Working with a high degree of autonomy, the RN accepts responsibility and accountability for assigned patients as a case manager to plan, implement and evaluate the care for adult and geriatric clients. The RN works within the framework of the State Nurse Practice Act and follows all WHC and affiliate hospital policies and procedures.
