JOB SUMMARY (Primary purpose of the position.)
Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and in accordance with the hospital policies and procedures, coordinates and supervises the daily planning and implementation of the surgery schedule. All activities, both intra and inter departmentally, associated with the efficient and effective management of the daily surgery schedule are coordinated through the Board Supervisor. Collaborates and is in constant communication with supervisors, physician offices, pre-admission unit and other hospital departments.
Additional responsibilities include preparing the OR monthly staff schedule. The Board Supervisor has OR staff direct report responsibilities. Participates in rotation of supervisor weekend and holiday call.
