SPECIFIC ELEMENTS & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  

 
  1. Collects and reports data as directed by the licensed nurse.
  2. Provides ADL needs of the patient :
  • Hygiene
  • Care and comfort measures

  • Mobility and ambulation.

  • Nutritional needs and feeding.

  1. Transports patients to various departments/services throughout the hospital.

  2. Provides patient monitoring as directed to ensure patient safety.

  3. Bathes, dresses/undresses patients assist with personal hygiene.

  4. Serves and collects food trays.  Assists with patient feeding.

  5. Working knowledge of medical terminology.

  6. Dysthrythmia interpretation.

  7. Obtains/maintains supplies and equipment.
  8. Performs non sterile dressing changes.

  9. Changes bed linens.
  10. Provides encouragement, support and comfort to patients and family members.

  11. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems. 

  12. Provides age and culturally appropriate care.

  13. Orients and mentors new staff members.

  14. Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.


Qualifications

Experience:
  • One year of licensed nursing assistant experience required. 
  • Active NH licensed nursing assistant certification
