You should have:
3 West, is a 31-bed, Med/Surg Telemetry unit, where the team cares for cardiac patients pre and post heart catheterization and pre open heart surgery. 3 West also provides medical care for hospitalized patients with cardiac diagnosis.
In recent employee surveys, the 3 West team scored their unit high marks in “staff having a voice”. The staff participate in and utilize a unit council. They feel it allows them to bring about positive change in their unit, work environment and makes the unit nurse driven. Staff self-schedule 36 hours per week providing work/life balance; schedule is made one month in advance.
