POSITION SUMMARY:

The L&D Staff OR-Tech renders individualized patient care, using basic intra-operative surgical technology including but not limited to: computers, electricity, physics, surgical technique, aseptic technique and a wide variety of surgical instrumentation to meet the patient’s intra-operative needs from newborn to adult.

Qualifications

POSITION (MINIMUM) REQUIREMENT CHECKLIST

þ  High school or GED
q  2 year/Associate Degree
q  4 year/Bachelor Degree
q  Post Graduate Degree
þ  Knowledge of specialty equipment and tools:
 
EXPERIENCE:
   

q  Vocational/Technical

þ  Knowledge of State of Alaska law, , Federal/CMS regulations and  Joint Commission standards

þ  Other: Graduate of approved /accredited school of Surgical Technology preferred

 1 year surgical tech experience preferred
