- Assists in the nursing care and preparation of surgical patients in Women's Services.
Assists in preparing the operating room, equipment and surgical supplies for all types of surgical procedures.
Prepares and maintains a sterile field
Maintains correct counts throughout procedure and assists in the care of specimens.
Has knowledge of and implements decontamination of equipment, instruments and supplies.
Functions as a member of the sterile team by preparing and passing instruments, sutures, sponges and supplies to the surgeon.
- High School or GED.
- 1 - 3 years of recent acute care L&D experience preferred.
- Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider (BLS certification).
- CST required
