Under general supervision, the Woman’s Rapid Safety Nurse for Woman’s Services responds to patient/fetus or NICU related medical concerns, provides direct nursing care in accordance with Clear Lake Regional Medical Center’s policies and procedures, and as a resource nurse for the nursing team. The goal of the Woman’s Rapid Safety Nurse for Woman’s Services is to provide care and expertise to prevent emergencies. In emergent situations, the Woman’s Rapid Safety Nurse is the lead the emergency response team until a physician arrives. In collaboration with the patient, patient’s family, and other member of the healthcare team, the Woman’s Rapid Safety Nurse assesses, plans, implements, evaluated, and coordinated treatment plans.



Position Requirements


Experience: Two year previous Labor and Delivery and NICU experience preferred.




  1. Graduate of accredited school of nursing. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  2. Current Texas licensure with Texas State Board of Nurses or under Compact License agreement.
  3. Current ACLS and BCLS certification from American Heart Association required. PALS certification preferred.
  4. NRP certification required.
  5. RNC or other Woman’s Services National certification to be obtained within 6 months in position.
  6. STABLE certification preferred.
  7. Maintains educational requirements appropriate for meeting population served.
  8. Maintains current clinical competence.
