Since 1974, Del Sol Medical Center has provided quality healthcare to El Paso and the surrounding region. As a full-service, acute care hospital in East El Paso with a Level II Trauma designation in Emergency Services, we continue to expand our services to meet the growing needs of our tristate community, providing special expertise in Cardiology, Maternity & Child Services, a Level III NICU, a Center of Excellence designation for our Bariatric Clinic, a Level II Trauma Center, and a newly renovated 32-bed Rehabilitation Hospital.

|The primary responsibility for this position is to work with existing staff, preceptors, and facility leadership to ensure an excellent patient experience within the area(s) for which they are assigned. This position will monitor and assist new employees as they onboard at the departmental level, evaluate and coach existing staff members on proven techniques which enhance the patient experience, evaluate the utilization and effectiveness of existing preceptors and collaborate with leaders to identify areas of opportunities to drive improvement. The individual will assist and influence the integration, execution, and adaptation of components of the Service Excellence Program. Through a collaborative effort, the individual will ensure that the core cultural elements of a strong patient experience are in place and adhered to in their assigned area(s). |
The Patient Experience Specialist collaborates with facility leaders and clinical nurse educators to assure Service Excellence execution also incorporates family members and physician involvement. The Patient Experience Specialist must be comfortable as an educator, analyst, consultant, role model and unwavering advocate for service excellence. All focused on helping drive exceptional care and a superior patient experience
REQUIRED LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS: Texas RN license; Current BLS Provider
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: BSN
Minimum 1-3 years RN experience
2 years recent nursing experience, and at least one year as an active Preceptor
PREFERRED EDUCATION, LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Certification in Specialty; BLS, ACLS, PALS, and/or TNCC Instructor
Training facilitation experience helpful
