Position Summary: The ED PCT – Multi Skilled must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for his/her assigned patients.  The PCT performs clerical and receptionist duties in accordance with the philosophy, goals and objectives of North Suburban Medical Center.  The PCT may rotate to other than his/her normally assigned department and will perform only those duties for which he/she has demonstrated competency.  The PCT performs delegated duties consistent with his/her scope of practice.  The PCT cares for the neonate through geriatric patient populations.

 

Qualifications

Position Requirements:
 
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
  • Current AHA BCLS certification. 
  • AHA ACLS desirable.
  • EMT-B/Paramedic certification in the state of Colorado.
  • IV Certified.                                                                           
Education:  High School Diploma or equivalent.  Completion of EMT-B/Paramedic training or equivalent required. 
 
Experience: One to two years technical experience in patient care.
 
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Demonstrates good organizational skills.  Performs procedures safely and accurately within standards of practice.  Displays appropriate judgement and problem solving skills.  Communicates positively and professionally with all internal and external customers.
