We are a full-service, acute-care hospital with 297 inpatient beds located in the heart of Orange Park, providing medical care to Clay County and surrounding communities. The hospital has 150 private rooms. There are nine labor, delivery and recovery room suites for new mothers and a seven-bed, Level-2 neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) for premature babies and those born with special needs. There is also a 24-bed psychiatric unit and 20 intensive care unit (ICU) beds.

  • The Cardiac Catherization Lab Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of quality patient care to the patient undergoing a procedure in the Cardiac Catherization Lab.
  • The quality of care given will be in keeping with the philosophy and objectives of the hospital and the Department of Nursing and will maintain and support the standards of nursing care and practice in order to meet the health care needs of patients, their families, and the community.

Essential Duties:

  • Circulating for Cath Lab and Electrophysiology Lab procedures, and assisting in the Cath Lab holding area.  Taking STEMI call

Patient Rights

  • The Cardiac Cath Lab RN will work to support and protect the rights of each patient served, treats each patient with dignity and care, and maintains patient confidentiality/privacy.

Patient Safety

  • Demonstrates commitment to patient safety initiatives including patient falls, medication safety, National Patient Safety Goals, critical value reporting, and administration of blood products.

Patient/Family Education

  • Provides appropriate patient/family education, per department and hospital policy and procedures.


Qualifications

Required Education:

  • 2 year/Associates Degree

Required License/Certification:

  • Current FL RN license
  • BLS
  • ACLS

Required Experience:

  • 1-3 years

Preferred Education:

  • 4 year/Bachelors Degree

Preferred License/Certification:

  • National Specialty Certification
