POSITION SUMMARY:A Medical Overflow Unit Registered Nurse (RN) renders individualized comprehensive nursing care to meet patients' physical, psychological, spiritual, social, cultural and educational needs. The Medical Overflow Unit RN provides the best possible preventative, supportive, and nursing care to each patient based upon the nursing process and in accordance with hospital policy and procedure; coordinates functions with physicians and other departments of the hospital in a spirit that fosters positive working relationships. The Medical Overflow Unit RN works collaboratively with Social Service and Pastoral care to support and provide families emotional and end of life resources such as Hospice to facilitate a dignified end.
