Shift: 3:00 PM-11:30 PM (rotating weekends, call, and holidays)

  • We will be starting construction of a state of art MRI department featuring two state of the art Signa Artist GE scanners.
  • The layout of the department will feature a shared control room building a collaborative environment for staff.
  • We are the only facility that provides MRI cardiac scanning in the southern region.

Here's what you can expect from being a MRI Technologist with us:

The Radiology Technologist MRI performs imaging studies of various parts of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease and injury.

  • Positions and prepares patients for exams according to the type of procedure to be performed
  • Performs procedures and assesses patients throughout and responds to patient needs as appropriate
  • Completes appropriate documentation for each study performed
  • Performs all computer and PACS functions
  • Observes safety regulations and aseptic practice techniques to protect patients and staff
  • Demonstrates knowledge of Universal protocols
  • Uses professional discernment and critical thinking when performing procedures
  • Participates in orientation and training of new staff members and teaches students during their clinical rotations
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of scanners and exam protocols in order to ensure the highest quality procedures

 

Qualifications

Are you interested? Here is what we require for this position:

  • Currently registered as an MRI Technologist, or will obtain MRI registry within six months of hire date
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) verification course, as specified in policy
Preferred Registration:
  • Current registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
Education:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology

Preferred Experience:

  • One year of experience in an MRI Imaging Department
