Skyline Medical Center provides support for serious emergencies, with traumatic injury, saving time is crucial. Tristar Skyline is designated to quickly care for severely injured patients and increase chances of survival. Access to emergency treatment across Middle Tennessee and the greater Nashville area. We're located off of I-65, I-24 and Briley Parkway for convenient access. With two helipads located directly outside of the ER to provide rapid response time Trauma rooms located directly inside ambulance entrance Critical care unit, surgical suites and imaging located next to ER for rapid access to diagnosis and treatment.
The anesthesia technician coordinates and manages activities, equipment, and supplies related to the anesthesia department. This is done in all anesthetizing locations.
Performs duties in accordance with unit specific standards of care as evidenced by completion of a competency skills checklist.
Performs daily cleaning of all anesthesia equipment, including anesthesia machines, non-disposable equipment/supplies and monitors.
Performs routine simple maintenance of anesthesia equipment.
Maintains anesthesia storage and supply areas in a clean and orderly fashion that promotes ease of access by all staff.
Orders anesthesia equipment and disposable supplies according to established par levels. Puts away stock.
Assists with turnover of anesthesia supplies and equipment in between cases as needed.
Assists the anesthesiologist / CRNA as needed
Obtains and changes medical gas tanks as needed.
Transports anesthesia machines to outside of OR locations as needed
Stocks, cleans, and manages expiration dates on anesthesia specialty carts (difficult airway, pediatric airway)
Manages anesthesia supplies and equipment in all anesthetizing locations
Refills vaporizers as needed
Troubleshoots minor malfunctions of anesthesia machine
This position does not manage any types of medications. This is the responsibility of the CRNA’s.
High School Diploma/GED
CNT or CST experience preferred
Able to work in a fast paced environment
Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
