SHIFT: Evenings (rotating weekends)

SCHEDULE: Full-time

The Environmental ServicesTeam (EVS) Lead will:

  • Perform terminal cleaning of all Operating and C-Section Suites as assigned.
  • Clean and disinfect all Operating Room Support Areas as assigned.
  • Conduct project and cyclic cleaning of Operating Suites and other sterile areas as assigned.
  • Understand floorcare daily and periodic maintenance in order to appropriately assign and oversee work.
  • Able to write out work schedules and make adjustments in emergency situations.
  • Makes rounds to ensure quality of service and quality of work.
  • Can appropriately lead a team during the shift when assigned.
  • Seeks a supervisor, manager or director for help when needed.
  • Leads by example to include strictly adhering to departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
  • Treat all staff in the department with dignity and respect regardless of the situation.
  • Monitors bed throughput and ensures that all discharges are being cleaned accordingly.
  • Assist staff in the department when needed.
  • Answer departmental on call phone and address and follow up on all requests.
  • Disperse keys, pagers, assignments as needed to ensure hospital needs are met and collect at end of shift..
  • Responsible and accountable for all aspects of daily EVS operations when assigned.
  • Thank staff and make recommendations of staff who deserve rewards or recognition.
  • Report any staff and/or non-compliance issues to supervisor.
  • Act as on Duty Director in cases of emergency when leading the department alone.
  • Lead team huddles.
  • Perform other duties including the duties of an Associate I and/or II (Floor tech or OR) when assigned.

Qualifications

Experience
  • 2-3 years proficient Health Care housekeeping experience required
  • Leadership ability and excellent communication skills required  
Education:
  • High school Diploma or equivalent required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required

  • Weekends and Holiday Requirements
