About this Facility
Eastside Medical Center has been a healthcare leader for more than 38 years providing quality care to patients in Gwinnett and surrounding counties. Eastside is a 310-bed, multi-campus system of care offering comprehensive medical and surgical programs including cardiovascular, neurosciences, oncology, orthopedics, rehabilitation, maternity with neonatal intensive care, behavioral health, bariatric, urgent care, and 24-hour emergency care at two locations.
•Oversees all food production/patient services/infection control.
•Supervises hourly employees.
•Responsible for daily operations in absences of Director.
Department Specific Criteria:
•Checks the patient trayline food temperatures.
•Assesses the quality and quantity of the trayline food.
•Communicates with the Director and Production Manager to review the day’s activities plus any staffing issues.
•Demonstrates ability to work position on patient trayline.
•Checks cafeteria serving area for correct arrangement and appropriate serving utensils before each meal.
•Teaches and enforces appropriate food handling and serving techniques
•Teaches and enforces proper cashiering and accounting procedures.
•Monitors overtime; employees are to complete their assignments within assigned work period.
•Assigns staff members to other positions to maintain a high level of productivity.
•Assists Production Manager and Chef with catering.
•Assumes responsibility for catering functions and sets up in a timely manner as assigned.
•Communicates operation/personnel problems with management.
•Plans and implements corrective action when appropriate.
•Ensures that kitchen is thoroughly clean and organized in the closing process.
•Completes supervisory checklist.
•Oversees all production of food prepared in the department.
•Maintains responsibility for HACCP implementation/quality improvement.
•Assists with implementing and monitoring of department Food Safety/Physical Safety Program.
