We are searching for a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department – PRN The Emergency Department RN is responsible to the Nursing Director/Charge Nurse for the delivery of quality patient care utilizing the nursing process. This position specializes in assessing, intervening and stabilizing a variety of trauma and illnesses with decisive action.

Essential Core Functions:
Provides and documents patient care based on the nursing process in compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
Plans, delegates and coordinates the nursing care of assigned patients.
Utilizes basic physical and psychosocial assessment skills to identify actual nursing diagnosis/clinical problems based on assessment of patient and unique age specific needs.
Works to support and protect the rights of each patient served, treats each patient with dignity and care, and maintains patient confidentiality/privacy.
Demonstrates commitment to patient safety initiatives including patient fall prevention, medication safety, National Patient Safety Goals, critical value reporting, and administration of blood products.
Provides appropriate patient/family education, per department and hospital policy and procedures.
This position requires competence in assessment, treatment, and/or care for the age groups indicated. The staff member must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, based on physical, psycho/social, educational, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients served in his/her assigned service area.

You Should Have:
- Associate degree from accredited school of Nursing
- Georgia (or compact) Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) issued by the American Heart Association
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) issued by the American Heart Association
- 1 year of prior nursing experience
- Trauma Nursing core course, preferred
