The OR/Surgical Technician renders individualized patient care, using basic intra-operative
surgical technology including but not limited to: computers, electricity,
physics, robotics, surgical technique and a wide variety of surgical
instrumentation to meet the patient’s intra-operative needs from newborn to elderly. The Operating Room Staff OR-Tech renders individualized
patient care, using basic intra-operative surgical technology in accordance
with hospital policy and procedure.
- High school diploma or GED required
- Graduation from an accredited program for Surgical Technician (required)
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider (required).
- One to three years current experience in an intra-operative setting as a Surgery Technician or Scrub tech required.
