Position: Medical Assistant, PRN

 

Responsible for direct patient care and the assisting of the Physician or mid-level practitioner.

 


 

Qualifications

Position Requirements:


Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; Completion of an accredited EMT (Basic or Intermediate) program or Medical Assistance program respectively.


Experience:  One year of experience in a physician practice is required. One year specialty experience preferred.  Six months of clerical/technical experience.


Qualifications: 

  • Computer skills with Microsoft Word and Excel; EHR (eClinicalWorks preferred); word processing skills.
  • Knowledge of Medical Insurance specifically certification/re-certification. 
  • Customer Service
  • Knowledge of spelling, punctuation, grammar and basic math. 
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology and abbreviations commonly used. 
  • Good interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to work under stress and multi task.
