Labor and Delivery Nurse

PRN II 

*Earn Extra Compensation per hour for this PRN position

Two great positions available - PRN II (this position and PRN III also posted)


PRN II Defined:


 (Earn extra $1.50/hour PRN Differential) plus other eligible shift differentials


Work Requirements:


*4 shifts per 4 week schedule (2 have to be on weekend)

*1 Major Holiday (New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day)

*1 Minor Holiday (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)

*2 Difficult to Staff Days: Super Bowl, Valentine’s Day, President’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Fall Break (UEA), Halloween, Day After Thanksgiving, New Year’s Eve 


PRN III Defined:


(Earn extra 3.00/hour PRN Differential) plus other eligible shift differentials


Work Requirements:


*6 shifts per 4 week schedule (3 have to be on weekend)

*1 Major Holiday (New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day)

*2 Minor Holiday (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)

*3 Difficult to Staff Days: Super Bowl, Valentine’s Day, President’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Fall Break (UEA), Halloween, Day After Thanksgiving, New Year’s Eve


Job Responsibilities:  

 
The Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery is responsible for participating in the direct care of patients in Labor & Delivery; performing nursing assessments of patients by observation and interaction with patient/significant others for educational, physiological, psychosocial, comfort, and safety needs; planning and coordinating care, and follow-up with other associates, departments, physicians and management as necessary; Evaluating and documenting each patients response to interventions.

Qualifications

Requires completion from accredited school of nursing. 

Must maintain current State of Idaho Registered Nurse license.
Maintain current AHA CPR for Healthcare Providers card.
 
A nurse in Women’s Center either within the first year of hire and every two years thereafter must maintain the following competencies:
  • STABLE
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Certification (recertify every two years).
  • Complete skills checklists.
  • Complete and maintain hospital/unit specific mandatory requirements in a timely manner. Individuals will be enrolled in courses based on previous experience and unit needs.
