This 39 bed Emergency Department receives 80,000 visits per year and has 76 full-time employees including four Charge Nurses.
West Florida Hospital is the only area hospital to earn an "A" rating in patient safety on the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade scale as well as the only Atrial Fibrillation Certified hospital.
WFH has also been honored as a Truven Top 100 Hospital and just recently received their Joint Commission Sepsis accreditation.

Current license as a RN
2+ years of ED leadership experience required
Required to be enrolled in a BSN program with completion within 24 months of job start date
Customer service abilities including effective listening skills. Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds.
The Nurse Manager is responsible for the 24 hour, seven day a week functions of a clinical nursing unit(s). Administers plans and evaluates the activities of the department(s) to ensure quality patient care. Develops goals, policies and procedures, prepares and submits operating and capital budgets, participates in multidisciplinary QI teams, consults with staff, physicians and other departments as needed. Manages staffing patterns with the assistance of Assistant Nurse Managers and the House Supervisors on a shift-to-shift basis. Follows policies and procedures of West Florida Hospital. Participates in the Quality Improvement process and adheres to WFH standards of behavior.
