St. David's South Austin Medical Center is an acute care facility with 316 beds, offering a range of complex specialties and sub-specialties, including a nationally accredited oncology program with the area’s only adult bone marrow transplant program; a trauma program that includes all of the capabilities and programmatic elements of a Level II trauma center to treat the most severely injured and critical patients; a comprehensive cardiac program; full-service maternity and newborn care with Level I and II nurseries; and two full-service emergency centers in the communities of Bee Cave and Bastrop.Position Summary
The Staff Radiologic Technologist is responsible for taking radiographs that are in accordance with the standards/practices set forth by the ARRT. The technologist demonstrates knowledge of the human structure and functions, patient care, positioning, principles of radiographic sciences, radiation protection and specialized techniques. Maintains professional judgment and conduct that is complimentary of the ARRT Code of Ethics and St. David’s Healthcare Values.
Required: Graduate of an America Medical Association- approved program in Radiologic Technology or meet requirements for Texas certification of Medical Radiologic Technologist on an education-equivalent basis. Entry-level graduate Radiologic Technologist will be accepted depending shift and technical responsibility of the shift.
Required: Licensed as a Medical Radiologic Technologist by the Texas Medical Board; American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) Certification of Medical Radiologic Technology; Current BLS certification by American Heart Association
