Medical City Arlington is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapy Supervisor to join our solid team. We treat diverse patient cases from Level III NICU through Adult Critical Care and participate in close collaboration with our 24-hour physician coverage team.  Medical City Arlington is a growing full-service hospital located in the heart of the South Arlington area. Our growth includes our new Women's Hospital, featuring state-of-the-art neonatal equipment, including a new jet ventilator.

The Respiratory Therapy Supervisor assists the Director of Therapy Services in overseeing the overall operation of respiratory area and maximizing the resources of the department. Responsibilities include:  

  • Assesses, plans, evaluates, coordinates and provides quality care to the patients of the cardiopulmonary department. 
  • Assists the Director in keeping inventory needs at appropriate levels. 
  • Assists the Director in maintaining appropriate PI programs while providing continuous assessment of and improvement to the quality of care and services. 
  • Orientation of new employees, helps with in-services for the staff and assures that all employee evaluations are done on a timely basis. 
  • Represents the department at interdepartmental meetings when requested.  

Qualifications

Education/Licensure/Certifications:

  • Certified or Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care and licensed to practice in the state of Texas as a Respiratory Care Practitioner  (RCP). 
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS and ACLS issued by the American Heart Association required. 
  • Current NRP required.

Experience:

  • Minimum five years experience in Respiratory - one to two years supervisory experience preferred. 
  • NICU experience is preferred. 
  • Knowledge in EKG is preferred.
