Respiratory Therapist (RRT II) - Full Time Nights
As one of the largest facilities in the nation's largest hospital system (HCA), Chippenham Hospital provides the full scope of healthcare services. With 466 beds, we specialize in heart care at the Levinson Heart Hospital and emotional and mental health services through Tucker Pavilion. Our ER is also a state -authorized Level II trauma Center and we offer Central Virginia's only Pediatric ER staffer 24/7 by pediatric-trained ER nurse and physician specialists.
Our Respiratory Therapy Department is looking for an outgoing and experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT II) to join our close-knit Respiratory Therapy team. Will work every other weekend and then one major winter and one major summer holiday per year. RRT may float between working at Chippenham Hospital and Johnston- Willis Hospital. Two to four years of RRT experience with some critical care experience preferred. NICU/PICU care experience a plus! BLS certification, NBRC credential as RRT and Virginia licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner required. PALS and ACLS certifications preferred.

JOB SUMMARY: Administers floor and critical care therapy modalities. Performs arterial puncture and blood gas analysis and instrument QC. Responds to cardiopulmonary arrests. Maintains and processes equipment. Provides specialized service to the department.
