Northside Hospital is seeking a full time Interventional Neuroradiology Clinical Coordinator!
Under the guidance of the director and with limited supervision and broad general direction, performs supervisory duties within the IR/Neuro department. Performs and assists in all IR/Neuro procedures utilizing equipment and protocols. Maintains billing compliance within the department. Reports and takes action on QI Monitors, and oversees compliance to departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for department work flow and completion of ordered procedures. Trains and educates new and current employees in IR/Neuro Lab. Schedules procedures, maintains inventory and participates in the ordering and maintenance of lab equipment. Performs employee evaluations. Follows established standards and practices under the direction of a credentialed interventional MD, or credentialed invasive radiologist. Will float to or other areas as needed. Adept at creative problem-solving, negotiating conflict, and collaborating with others. Completes employee conference, risk management and unit management reports within specified time frames. Identifies the need for revision and evaluates the effectiveness of operational forms. Provides and coordinates the resources needed within the unit to provide optimal patient outcomes. Ensures compliance and adherence with stated policies and procedures for the unit. Remains informed of innovative clinical trends through bench marking and evidence based practice. Functions as charge nurse. Mentors other Registered Nurses to the role and functions of Interventional radiology. Leads and coordinates team behavior between staff members and actively fosters the development of leadership skills in others. NIHSS certification and the ability to take call is also required.
