SCHEDULE: PRN/Per Diem

Assists with endoscopic procedures by performing transporter duties, obtain supplies, equipment, instrumentation as needed. Performs cleaning of equipment and scopes following hospital/department policies and procedures. Assists physician during endoscopic procedures. Follows policies and procedures of West Florida Hospital. Participates in the Quality Improvement process and adheres to WFH standards of behavior.
Organizational, critical thinking, multi-tasking, and communication skills, in a detail oriented, customer-focused organization are required. Ability to follow verbal instructions, read and comprehend written instructions is required. Basic computer skills are required. Ability to transport non-controlled products/substances is required.
Essential Functions: Manages stress appropriately and can make decisions under pressure, handle multiple priorities, manage anger/fear/hostility/violence of others appropriately, and work in areas that are confined and/or crowded. The minimum requirements of this position require the individual to: have good manual dexterity, have hand-eye coordination, work while standing with periods of sitting, lifting, stooping, bending, walking, reaching above shoulders and head, twisting at waist, pushing/pulling (up to 50 lbs.), lifting/carrying (up to 50 lbs), lifting from floor level and waist level to above shoulders/head. Must be able to take call in compliance with hospital/department policy.
Attendance is essential to this role
Education: Vocational or technical education preferred.
Experience: One (1) year hospital experience is required. A minimum of one (1) to three (3) years hospital experience preferred. And Pediatric experience a plus!
