Fort Walton Beach Medical Center (FWBMC) is a 257-bed full-service hospital with over 200 of the most highly respected and qualified physicians in the area. It is recognized as a Top General Hospital for excellence in quality care and patient safety. It is the only acute care hospital in the Tri-County area that offers open heart surgery, an Accredited Advanced Primary Stroke Center, an Accredited Chest Pain Center, and a Cancer Care Center that is accredited by the Commission on Cancer and an Associate of the UAB Birmingham Health System Cancer Community Network. Its expanded emergency services include a dedicated Pediatric ER, 24/7 Destin ER, and a full-service 24/7 Fort Walton Beach ER that includes the only Level II Trauma Center in the Tri-County area.
Provide leadership for planning, management, implementation, integration and coordination of the Quality Management Department in support of facility goals dedicated to excellence, effective leadership, and financial stability. Support the delivery of the high quality, cost effective patient care through activities based on facility strategic goals and objectives.
Experience Required or Preferred:
3-5 years Quality Management experience required including regulatory survey preparation and standards compliance.
3-5 years progressive management experience required.
3-5 years Hospital clinical experience required
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Proven administrative ability for the direction, control and planning activities of a hospital based department.
Capable of analyzing and preparing complex records and reports.
Ability to remain calm, to think and act quickly and logically in a crisis situation.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Good applied mathematic and statistical skills.
Requires team player, positive, can-do winning attitude.
Excellent word processing, spreadsheet and database computer skills
