Fort Walton Beach Medical Center, located on Florida's Emerald Coast, seeks a Registered Nurse- TAT (Turn Around Team) to join our Surgical Services Department!

Fort Walton Beach Medical Center is one of the nation's top performers on quality measures for heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia and surgical care. The hospital has the tri-county's only comprehensive cardiovascular program. It is also the only acute care hospital in the area that offers open heart surgery, an Advanced Primary Stroke Center accredited by the Joint Commission, a Chest Pain Center and a Cancer Care Center that is affiliated with UAB and accredited by the Commission on Cancer.

The RN-TAT is a
registered nurse who plans, coordinates, delivers, and evaluates nursing care
to patients whose protective reflexes or self-care abilities are potentially
compromised during surgical or other invasive procedures. The TAT plans and
implements nursing care to address the physical, psychological, and spiritual
responses of the patient having a surgical or invasive procedure. May also
perform in the surgical technician role.
Associate Degree, Diploma in Nursing or BSN required
State of Florida RN License required
Minimum 3 year of previous acute care or perioperative experience preferred
Completion of Perioperative Nursing Course preferred
