Technologically advanced monitoring systems, an electronic medication system and on-staff cardiologists who have the capability to monitor EKG results from a remote location
Implementation of technical expertise with regard to image acquisition and storage, responsible for patient care, the scrub and monitoring role, along with co-circulation of procedures. The RT® will not administer any medications within this work environment. Adaptability to the ever changing patient acuity and work environment with the basic knowledge and skills outlined in this position description. The Cath Lab Radiology technologist will provide high quality patient care during elective and emergent procedures conducted in the Cardiac Cath Lab
Graduation from an accredited Cardiac Cath Technician or Radiographic Technician program. 5 years of experience in Cath Lab AND required licensure (RCIS or ARRT- CI, CV, or VI) upon hire may be substituted for graduation from an accredited program
BCLS Certification from AHA required upon hire. ACLS Certification from AHA required within 6 months of hire. RCIS licensure (from CCI) OR ARRT- CI, VI, or CV required within 1 year of eligibility date. If employee is eligible to sit for test upon hire, must obtain required licensure within 1 year of hire date. Test retakes are allowed as long as licensure is obtained by the 1-year deadline
Minimum 2 years of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab tech role and/or 1 year clinical required
