We are searching for an experienced ICU nurse for a full-time Coordinator, to focus on quality in our ICU units. This position will work day shift and work in CVICU, Neuro, Medical and Trauma ICU units to ensure quality care.
The Quality Coordinator has the direct-line responsibility for day to day operations and overall responsibility for the nursing department, insuring that employees have effective management, good communication and appropriate discipline. He/She provides clinical and operational leadership under the direction of the Nurse Manager for the delivery of safe, efficient patient care within the units of responsibility. The Clinical Coordinator maintains clinical competencies at the bedside within the scope of responsibility of the patients served and serves as unit designee in the absence of Nurse Manager.
The Clinical Coordinator ensures that the charge nurses fulfill their responsibilities as front-line supervisors. The Clinical Coordinator is responsible on a 24-hour basis for the coordination of patient care, administrative and nursing activities. The Clinical Coordinator is also responsible on a 24 hours basis for the quality of nursing care provided to patient. The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for the implementation and evaluation of all nursing care and related activities.
