We are searching for an experienced ICU nurse for a full time Coordinator to focus on quality in our ICU units. This position will work day shift and work in CVICU, Neuro, Medical and Trauma ICU units to ensure quality care. Qualified candidates will be a graduate of an accredited RN program, a Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred. A current Georgia nursing license or compact licensure, BLS certification and CCRN certification is preferred. Minimum of 3 years of recent practice in critical care nursing experience and 1 year of nursing leadership experience is preferred.
Essential Core Functions:
day to day operations and overall responsibility for the nursing department
insuring that employees have effective management, good communication and appropriate discipline.
provides clinical and operational leadership under the direction of the Nurse Manager for the delivery of safe, efficient patient care within the units of responsibility.
maintains clinical competencies at the bedside within the scope of responsibility of the patients served and serves as unit designee in the absence of Nurse Manager.
ensures that the charge nurses fulfill their responsibilities as front-line supervisors.
responsible on a 24-hour basis for the coordination of patient care, administrative and nursing activities.The Clinical Coordinator is also responsible on a 24 hours basis for the quality of nursing care provided to patient.
responsible for the implementation and evaluation of all nursing care and related activities.
