We are searching for a Patient Care Tech to join our state-of-the-art Trauma ICU Department in a full-time, evening shift role, with the primary responsibility of providing both direct and indirect patient care as delegated and supervised by the Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.  The PCP is responsible for health unit coordination by promoting collaboration and efficiency on the nursing unit and demonstrating mastery of time management, organization, customer service and problem resolution. Complies with the Memorial Health Compliance Program, related policies and procedures and the Code of Business Practices and reporting instances of perceived and actual non-compliance to Team Leader or through other reporting mechanisms.

Qualifications

Education/Training: High school graduate or GED. 

Licensure/Certification: Current Patient Care Tech certificate, Proof of EMT course completion, Proof of Medic course completion OR Proof of Nursing Aide course completion and 2-3 years’ experience in an acute care environment (i.e. Hospital) within the last 5 years.

Experience: At least two years experience in the acute care setting is preferred. 

 

Special Skills: Strong computer skills, familiarity with Windows, MS Office, email, and clinical documentation programs. Excellent communication, organizational, and customer services skills
