Seeking a Lead MRI Technologist for a full-time, days position!

  • Will serve as the primary workflow coordinator, technical advisor to other technologists and radiologists, and responsible for department specific needs related to protocols, procedures, and processes. Performs diagnostic MRI procedures on in and out patients as ordered by the requesting clinician. Complies with the Memorial Health Compliance Program, related policies and procedures and the Code of Business Practices; reports instances of perceived and actual non-compliance to Team Leader or through other reporting mechanisms.
  • Performs direct patient care in the department, performing scans and procedures are ordered by clinicians. Participates in on-call rotation (if applicable). Reports daily to Manager regarding volume/productivity, equipment, safety or patient issues. Notifies Assistant Manager/Manager to address any Team Member issues or concerns, and to address and respond to any patient/safety related issues or physician related issues.
  • Serves as MR Safety Officer (MRSO) to include the following duties: works with manager to ensure safety policies/procedures are enforced; serves as advisor/research assistance for questions related to MRI devices safety; provides feedback to manager/MRMD related to safety concerns/issues/ new devices; monitors safety practices daily; assists with staff training and education on MRI safety; ensures all MRI related issues/incidents are reported as needed; assists with incident investigations as needed; gives guidance and direction to MRI staff and assists with patient related safety issues and concerns.
  • Oversees and assists with department PACS QA issues and other image quality issues.  Ensures daily work is scheduled and completed in optimal manner.  Ensures adequate communication between department and referring/treating clinicians regarding procedure/patient specific information; department functions in manner to promote customer, physician and patient satisfaction. Provides input and evaluation of new equipment; and input/advisement to Assistant Manager/Manager regarding staff technical abilities  
  •  Understand the need to efficiently utilize department resources.  Understands Flexed Budget, participates in maintaining.  Identifies and suggests ways to decrease operational costs


  • Technical advisor to department staff and Radiologists, other physicians, related to technical aspects of patient procedures and exams such as: optimal protocols, quality of imaging, radiation safety, equipment trouble-shooting, and optimizing workflow. Advises implements and communicates new procedure and protocol development.



  • Certificate of accredited MRI program or radiology program
  • Associates Degree
  • Bachelors Degree preferred


  • BLS
  • ARRT (MR) registered

Experience Required

  • 5 years MR Registered Technologist 
  • 1 year supervisory experience preferred
