Physical Therapist (PT) PRN

Since 1976, Tomball Regional Medical Center (TRMC) has provided quality healthcare to the communities we serve including emergency care, labor and delivery, a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), general surgery, cardiology, pulmonary medicine, acute inpatient rehabilitation, sports medicine, physical therapy, orthopedics, outpatient testing, wound care and many others. Our 150-acre campus and 350 bed hospital also features designated specialty centers: the Heart Center, the Tomball Regional Medical Center Wound and Hyperbaric Center, and Texas Sports Medicine Center.

Tomball Regional Medical Center is currently looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) PRN for its Physical Therapy Department. 


Performs patient assessments, develops treatment plans, and provides therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position’s qualifications, professional practices, and ethical standards. The Physical Therapist contributes to program development, quality improvement, problem solving, and productivity enhancement in a flexible interdisciplinary manner.

• Communicate verbally via telephone
• Communicate verbally in a face-to-face situation
• Communicate in written form
• Communicate and convey detailed or important instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly
• Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication
• Inspect machinery, office equipment, and/or medical equipment
• Trouble-shoot medical equipment
• Solve problems requiring interpretation
• Utilize reasoning and problem-solving skills
• Wet: frequent contact with water or other liquid
• Noise: sufficient noise to cause distraction or possible hearing loss
• Exposed to infection from disease-bearing specimens
• May be exposed to infections and contagious diseases
• Exposed to hazards of handling diseased organs and tissues
• Regularly exposed to the risk of blood borne diseases
• Exposed to hazardous body fluids and wastes
• Exposed to hazards from electrical/mechanical/power equipment
• Exposed to housekeeping/cleaning agents/chemicals
• Occasional exposure to unpleasant patient or unit environment
• Contact with patients under wide variety of circumstances
• May be exposed to/occasionally exposed to patient elements
• Subject to varying and unpredictable situations
• Handles emergency or crisis situations
• May perform emergency care
• Exposed to hot or noisy equipment
• Subject to many interruptions
• Occasionally subjected to irregular hours
• Occasional pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries
• Handles absentee replacement on short notice



• Graduate of a Physical Therapy program
• One year experience in the acute care setting preferred. New grads considered.
• Current Texas Physical Therapist License
