We are currently seeking an exceptionally strong executive leader in the oncology space for a stellar Sarah Cannon position.
Senior Regional Vice President (SRVP) of Oncology Market Operations for the state of Texas.
Reports to: Senior Vice President Market Operations, Physician-in-Chief, Hematology
Titles Supervised: Regional Vice Presidents & Associate Regional Vice Presidents in our Texas markets (Dallas; Houston; Austin; & San Antonio).
Sarah Cannon, the Cancer Institute of HCA Healthcare, offers integrated cancer services with convenient access to cutting-edge therapies for those facing cancer in communities across the United States and United Kingdom. Sarah Cannon’s cancer programs include individualized patient navigation provided by oncology-trained nurses, more than 1,100 stem cell transplants performed annually throughout the Sarah Cannon Blood Cancer Network, hundreds of clinical trials, and molecular profiling capabilities. Through its services, Sarah Cannon is providing state-of-the-art cancer care close to home for hundreds of thousands of patients, a number unmatched by any single cancer center.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
Senior market leadership position responsible for achieving profitable growth, clinical excellence and regulatory compliance through their management of Oncology services across the Texas markets. Responsible for the direction, administration, evaluation and coordination of strategic and operational functions of all oncology services in the Texas markets. Collaborates and provides operational guidance to select employees in each region to ensure operating objectives and results in accordance with overall business strategies. Ensures alignment of markets with the Sarah Cannon philosophy, strategy and business objectives.
Provides direction and support for the ongoing development of hospital-based oncology services throughout Texas by providing direct oversight to the Regional Vice Presidents & AVP’s in the responsible markets.
Coordinates support for ongoing development of oncology services with the service line leadership for Blood cancers, Navigation, Clinical Programs, Radiation, Cancer Registry, etc.
In partnership with the SVP of Market Operations, the Executive Team and Physician leadership, develops strategy, promotes operational standards and ensure that cancer services are coordinated across the organization, providing the continuum of care for the cancer patient.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties include but are not limited to:
-Responsible to meet contribution & EBITDA margins, market share, net revenue and volume growth, FTE and financial targets for respective markets.
-Collaborates with Division leadership, Hospital CEOs, administrative teams, oncology leaders and physicians to define and implement specific strategies designed to achieve improvement in Key Measure Areas.
-Provides clinical assessment of new markets and opportunities, enhancing internal efficiencies and effectiveness across the enterprise.
-Serves as "guardian of the brand" ensuring that market implementation and ongoing operations are consistent with the Sarah Cannon standards. The Senior RVP will be an active
representative and ambassador to local markets and nationally to promote positive relationships and strong partnerships for the benefit of the organization.
-Provides "voice of the customer" as key input to adjusting and improving Sarah Cannon standards and Division or Market strategies.
-Partners with SVP of market Operations to engage with the Regional Vice Presidents & Associate RVP’s as a team; establishing a community of leaders that develop and implement market best practices, align on priorities and drive measurable improvement in key areas.
-Provides administrative direction for the operations of the organization by collaborating with Market leadership to appraise the performance of direct reports, including staff adjustments and decisions (hire, promote, terminations, etc.)
-Partner with Sarah Cannon's finance team and Division/Market leadership to identify, assess and execute on business development opportunities.
-Lead and provide direction to Regional Vice Presidents, Associate RVPs and other employees within reporting line.

-During your employment with Sarah Cannon you will be routinely assigned training requirements. You are expected to complete any training assignments by the due date.
-Broad based business acumen and understanding of various disciplines within oncology services (operations, finance, technology, etc.).
-Understands major trends in healthcare, managed care and reimbursement, and is familiar with point-of-care products and medical informatics trends and tools.
-Strong leader with a mature sense of priorities and solid practical experience who can design and implement systems within the framework of technical boundaries.
-Proven ability to work across business lines to address strategic issues of importance and ability to work on multiple projects at once.
-Has a high tolerance for ambiguity and can work successfully in a matrix management model.
-Organization - proactively prioritizes needs and effectively manages resources.
-Communication - this position requires the individual to have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
