The CT Technologist is responsible for performing CT exams in accordance with standards and practice set forth by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology and Radiology Department policies and procedures. The CT Tech demonstrates knowledge of human anatomy, disease processes and functions, patient care, positioning, principles of radiographic sciences, radiation protection, quality assurance, specialized techniques, and adheres to all Corporate Radiation Right policies.
Education and Experience:
Required: Graduate from a school of Radiologic Technology approved by the American Medical Association. One year experience as a Radiology Technologist in an acute care setting..
Preferred: 1 year experience performing CT procedures.
Licenses and Certifications:
Required: American Registry Radiologic Technologists (R) and Texas Medical Board Licensed MRT upon hire. Registered in CT through ARRT within 6 months of hire.
