DescriptionSHIFT: Nights (rotating weekends)
E1. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for assigned patients in the NICU.
E2. Participates in the development and implementation of policies and procedures of the NICU that guide and support the provision of services
E3. Responsible for meeting the standards of Practice for NICU and managing all assigned personnel, supplies and equipment.
E4. Participates in activities to plan, measure, assess and improve the quality of patient care.
E5. Performs assessment of infant and neonatal patients.
E6. Performs nursing care of NICU patients.
E7. Performs gestational age assessments.
E8. Scanning supplies from P.O.U. area.
E9. Scanning all breastmilk for administration.
E10. Scanning medications appropriately.
E11. Provides Developmental Appropriate Care of the neonate and infant.
E12. Demonstrates appropriate usage and understanding of equipment used in the department.
E13. Participates in mandatory unit education activities
E14. Participates in the discharge process to include parent teaching.
E15. Creates an environment of family centered care.
