Position Summary:

The Physical Therapist Lead works under the direction of the Occupational Health Services Manager and Portsmouth Regional Hospital Administration. 

  • Responsible for the comprehensive physical therapy care of workers’ compensation patients to include:  evaluation, plan of care, treatment implementation, documentation, and discharge planning. 
  • To prevent, identify, correct or alleviate acute or prolonged movement dysfunction of musculoskeletal, neurological or physiologic origin in order to promote optimum health and function utilizing established PT principles and techniques.
  •  Ergonomic Evaluations
  • Work Conditioning
  • Functional Capacity Evaluation
  • Marketing of clinic services

Position Specific Performance Criteria/Essential Job Functions

  • Identifies complex socioeconomic and psychosocial behaviors and refers appropriately for special intervention.
  • Identifies and documents precautions and implications for treatment intervention from medical history screening process.
  • Identifies and documents learning preferences and educational barriers. Utilizes the initial and discharge functional assessment indexes for goal and treatment planning. 
  • Sets and documents realistic goals with time frames incorporating the patient and family needs and goals.


Qualifications

Experience:

Minimum of 3 to 7 years of experience required.


Licensure:

NH Physical Therapy license required.

BLS required.

 

Education:

Bachelor's degree required.

Accredited Physical Therapy program.
