We are seeking a(an) Director of Medical Staff Services for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Responsible for providing direction for the organized Medical Staff and credentialed allied health professionals in accordance with accreditation and regulatory standards. Manages the professional credentialing program of the Medical Staff and Allied Health practitioners in accordance with Medical Staff Bylaws and policies. Responsible for the development and maintenance of Medical Staff documents that support a self-governed Medical Staff and its accountability to the Hospital Board of Trustees. Serves as on-going liaison between Medical Staff leadership and the hospital Administration regarding all aspects of the Medical Staff activities as they relate to quality, professional peer review, and on-going assessment of clinical competence of the Medical Staff appointees.
Minimum of five years' experience in Medical Staff organization/development and healthcare
organization accreditation processes that relate to professional credentialing, clinical privileging
and physician reappraisal (reappointment)
Experience in hospital accreditation/regulatory surveys (JCAHO, CMS)
Proficient in computer technology, database applications and credentialing software
Minimum of five years' experience in Medical Staff Services staff management.
