Job Summary and Qualifications

**This position is not work from home, it is on-site at our Deerfield, Florida location. 

Seeking a Charge Support Specialist, who will create and confirm patient demographics, verify insurance, and review charges in the Practice Management System. They also work the pre- and post-bill claim edits and resolve the pre-collect list for assigned facilities. What you will do in this role:

• Ensure patient demographics are entered timely and accurately into the Practice Management System in accordance with departmental policies and procedures
• Add or update patient insurance and verify insurance for eligibility
• Review charges in hospital systems or charge documents received from Practices
• Resolve pre- and post-bill claim edits by researching issue and determining appropriate resolution
• Review claims and ensure timely billing
• Reconcile failed interfaced charges to ensure timely billing
• Resolve or escalate issues preventing successful claim generation, such as Provider, date of service, coding, and diagnosis issues
• Resolve billing issues prior to assignment to Collections vendor
• Keep Management apprised of matters regarding charge support
• Meet and maintain established departmental performance metrics for production and quality 

What qualifications you will need:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Minimum of 1 year related physician billing or charge support experience preferred; relevant education may substitute experience requirement
