Job Summary and Qualifications

What You Will Do in This Role:

* You will perform delegated functions in compliance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures.

* You will perform procedures related to decontamination, assembly and sterilization of surgical instrumentation for Surgical Services and Nursing units.

* You will review sterilization records and prepares reports as assigned.

* You will demonstrate team work, adaptability, and serve as a resource to the Surgical Services team.

* You will have accountability for delivering quality services and for promoting a positive image of the department.

* You will need to have knowledge of care handling inspection; safety testing and process improvement plans regarding Safety for patients and staff.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

* Certification in Central Sterile Processing (CRST) is required.

* Completion of a Sterile Processing program required.

* Previous experience as a Sterile Processing Technician is preferred.
