Job Summary and Qualifications
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Environmental Services, the Environmental Services Professional will assist in general housekeeping cleaning functions of the hospital and hospital properties.
What you will do in this role:
- Clean and service all assigned work areas which are part of inpatient, outpatient, ancillary, support and administrative environments.
- Interact with people showing regard for courtesy, dignity, and respect to generate trust and confidence. Communicate with staff, volunteers, patients and visitors regarding status of work to be initiated in progress or completed.
- Equip self and service cart with appropriate chemical products, tools, supplies, and information to provide continuous flow of work. Keep equipment in a clean, neat, functioning condition, and properly stored when finished.
- Distribute supplies and replenish personal convenience items, such as soaps, towels, tissues in a manner that prevents stock outages.
- Inspect own work with an eye for detail. Visually check work for oversights and remedy findings in a timely manner.
- Follow department and infection control precautions procedures in regard to hand washing and changing of gloves.
- Move furniture to clean under, around, behind, and rearrange furnishings as appropriate. Replace or arrange for replacement of curtains, draperies and damages or defective furnishings.
- Consolidate waste accumulations, segregating solid waste from infective, hazardous or chemical waste. Transport to designated hold area.
What qualifications you will need:
