JOB SUMMARY (Primary purpose of the position.) The Supply Chain Learning & Development Manager is responsible for implementing learning enablement and performance support solutions to meet the performance goals of the organization. This involves a broad understanding of the supply chain operations to translate functional core processes, workflows, and activities into quality education resources for new hires and process improvements. This position works closely with diverse business teams to produce standardized operational documents, manuals, guides, learning assets, and trainings to support new hire onboarding and continuous improvements to the supply chain shared services operational model.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES (The essential responsibilities and accountabilities of this position including interactions with other departments and outside vendors, if applicable, in PRIORITY order.) • Design, develop, and implement core content to support Operational Excellence education and resources for supply chain enterprise. This includes but is not limited to instructional materials for traditional instructor-led courses, online programs, web-based learning aids or products, evaluation methods and other programs as needed. • Develop materials based on key success metrics and information provided by subject matter experts and instructors. • Recommend changes to existing courses, including technology or instructional methods to better adhere to delivery options. • Apply instructional design principles to translate operational concepts, workflows, process changes, and best practices into valuable learning content/assets for Supply Chain stakeholders. • Support Director of Learning in Development with education implementations. • Manage and maintain standardized education manuals, guides, and digital learning assets. • Collaborate with Supply Chain business owners on operational and system projects to define and build transformation and change capabilities across the Supply Chain enterprise. • Promote learning engagement and performance improvement through multiple communication channels Requirements: Candidate Profile • Deep knowledge and experience implementing needs assessment models, instructional design methodologies, and multiple format learning solutions. • Leads through influence to drives change and outcomes in a matrix environment with a strong customer/employee focus. • Proven ability to balance priorities and resource trade-off decisions to maximize business outcomes. • Uses methodologies, metrics, and analysis to assess and improve learning experiences. • Drives results through innovation and tests hypotheses through experimentation & continuous improvement. • Systemic thinker who works across business functions, boundaries and influences across teams. • A collaboration champion able to communicate equally well with senior leaders, front-line employees and cross-functional groups. • Exceptional communication skills - written, oral and presentation. • 7-10 years of work experience in relevant field
Healthcare/Supply Chain knowledge preferred by not required
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE 7 years +
EDUCATION REQUIRED High School Graduate/Equivalent College Graduate preferred, but experience may substitute education
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS (Required licenses, certificates, specific skills, personal traits,; e.g., RN, CPA, able to type 90 wpm, detail orientation.) 1. Knowledge of education and training principles, methodologies, and best practices. 2. Exceptional written and verbal communications skills and technical writing skills. 3. Excellent project management, instructional design, and implementation skills 4. Strong organization skills with keen attention to detail 5. Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines 6. Diplomat-level skill in developing and maintaining effective working relationships 7. Self directed champion of quality, knowledge sharing and continuous learning 8. Experience with learning technologies and collaborative authoring tools 9. Basic implementation skills with strong organization and project management skills 10. Comfortable working in a fast paced, high growth environment 11. Proficient in MS Office applications, WebEx, and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
