Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the supervision of the Director of Quality Management of Medical City Dallas, the Quality Coordinator provides operational oversight of outcomes to include ongoing continuous performance improvement, evaluation of data abstraction and information, and assistance with regulatory compliance activities for the patient population. 

What you will do in this role:

• This role provides education and leadership, serves as a resource and guide to identify current concepts and evaluates their usefulness in improving outcomes, quality, and patient safety. Assists in the coordination of reports and analysis of the data
•  Ensures and models a commitment to the organization’s vision / mission / values to support clinical outcomes. 
• Support the promotion of a patient safety culture; emphasizing risk reduction while analyzing trends of events to support process improvement efforts that align with high reliability strategies. 
• Maintain communication with administration, medical staff, and departmental leaders regarding process improvement activities.

What qualifications you will need:

• Current RN license in the State of Texas and/or compact license required

• BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position

• A minimum of 2-3 years of progressive health care experience in an acute care facility and at least 1-year experience in an acute care quality management position required

• Certified Professional Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred
• Associate Degree in Nursing required, BSN preferred
