Job Summary and Qualifications

The Pharmacy Operations Certified Technician is responsible for assisting pharmacists in all daily activities related to department workflow while knowing and acting in accordance with established policies and procedures. This position assists in the procurement, preparation, delivery, return, and restocking of medications, regulatory compliance, and maintains the ability to use all equipment and technology necessary to fulfill job responsibilities effectively and efficiently. This technician will be responsible for being able to perform all specialist technician responsibilities, including but not limited to, buyer, narcotic technician, TPN technician, pediatric technician, and chemotherapy technicians. This technician also facilitates exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers and is responsible for contributing to a positive work environment. 

What qualifications you will need:

• Knowledge of general pharmacy practices and procedures
• Registration with the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy
• Interpersonal skills to successfully interact with coworkers, vendors and other hospital staff in all situations
• Demonstrated competency in each area of the Pharmacy Technician Orientation guide
• Pharmacy Technician Certification recognized by the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy
