Position Summary

The Clinical Pharmacy Manager is responsible for designing, implementing and managing all pharmacy clinical programs such as drug consults, Nutrition Support, Pharmacokinetics, Anticoagulant monitoring, Pain Management, IV to PO, Renal Dosing, and other programs as determined appropriate based on patient population and literature guidelines. Holds self and others accountable for completing compliance activities timely. Understands importance and expectations of compliance and makes appropriate effort to perform within those standards.

The Clinical Pharmacy Manager inspires, leads, and executes organizational change. Role models adaptability and acts as an agent for change by championing it and effectively addressing other's concern or resistance. Comfortably deals with ambiguity by considering the impact, risk and alternatives of new ideas and approaches. Exhibits tenacity and follow-up to ensure sustainability. Creates facility-wide energy and optimism for the future.

The Clinical Pharmacy Manager identifies, implements, and manages new clinical services or initiatives as needed. Anticipates future trends and implications accurately. Uses rigorous logic and methods to look beyond the obvious to recommend effective solutions to difficult problems; has a micro and macro perspective to balance short term recommendations that are aligned with long term direction. Discovers new business strategies and operationalizes those strategies by translating into company initiatives and projects. Comfortable working with members of the Medical Executive Committee and Board of Trustees or other oversight groups.

· A minimum of 5 years of hospital clinical pharmacy experience required, preferably within area of focus.

· Minimum of 1 year experience as a Manager Clinical Pharmacy

· Hospital Pharmacy Management experience is preferred

- Completion of hospital PGY1/PGY2 pharmacy specialty residency or fellowship preferred

· B.S. Pharmacy Required

· Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy Preferred

• Board Certification required (BCPS, BCCCP, BCIDP, etc.)
• Other certification (e.g. FCCP, FASHP) preferred

· Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy

· ACLS certification is required

· Active Pharmacy Consultant license, or equivalent as per State requirements for a Pharmacy, Achieved within 1st year of employment 

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
