Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our healthcare team in the capacity of  Pre/Postop Secretary. You will perform clerical and receptionist duties and deliver exceptional customer service to our patients, their families and the staff of your unit. You will work with a phenomenal team that cares like family and works together in a collaborative manner

In this role you will:

• Participate in the unit based Quality Improvement process.
• Demonstrate knowledge and respect of patient rights to privacy and protection of patient confidentiality.
• Organize and communicate patient care activities to the patient and to the Registered Nurse.
• Complete, execute and perform secretarial tasks such as, Order Entry, filing and organizing patient charts and medication orders.
• Demonstrate an understanding of patient charts, physician orders and nursing orders.
• Demonstrate an understanding and be proficient in the use of a computer and office equipment.
• Maintain the unit in optimal operating condition by cleaning general work stations and stocking of supplies.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• BLS – AHA Healthcare Provider required
• Unit Secretary skills preferred
• Medical terminology preferred
• This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
