Job Summary and Qualifications

OUTPATIENT SURGERY REGISTERED NURSE - FULL-TIME WEEKDAYS WITH CALL ROTATION

What you will do in this role:

• Prepare patients for their procedure by performing a preliminary assessment and starting and maintaining IVs
• Ensure all required paperwork needed for surgery is completed and signed
• Assess patients’ conditions and needs
• Check dressing and/or operative sites of patients and report abnormalities
• Ensure patients meet discharge criteria
• Provide patient-specific discharge education to patients and their family members

What qualifications you will need:

• ADN required and BSN preferred
• Texas RN license or compact license is accepted
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
• Must have at least one (1) year RN experience, preferably in Outpatient or Same Day Surgery, in an acute care hospital

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
