You contribute to our success. Every role has an impact on our students’ lives and you have the opportunity to make a difference. We are looking for a dedicated Audio Visual Security Implementer to be a part of our team.

Job Summary

The Audio Visual and Security Implementer works with Construction, Facilities, Architects and Galen’s Low Voltage contractors to implement Audio Visual, Conferencing, and Video Surveillance systems on Galen’s ever-expanding campuses. They are responsible for working with our preferred vendors to develop classroom and conference room standards, order equipment, manage costs and ensure project goals are met.

Position Responsibilities

  1. Position will be responsible for the implementation of Galen’s AV, security cameras, door card systems, low voltage cabling, low voltage lighting controls and access control construction skillset.
  2. Candidate must be able to read and understand blueprints/drawings and ensure LV systems are installed according to specification.
  3. Candidate should possess ISP circuit knowledge and on-site interface for new campus circuits. This position will work along side the infrastructure team.
  4. Position will work with the computerized maintenance management software and setup, including setting up operation stations, barcode equipment inventory and implementation for both new and existing campuses.
  5. Position is responsible for training the above mentioned systems during GC/Vendor project turnover.
  6. Position will ensure LV systems account setup and access, as well as documenting access processes and procedures.
  7. Responsible for training of the local campus IT personnel on above mentioned systems.
  8. Creates training and documentation to support above mentioned systems. As needed, provide technical knowledge to other department members to facilitate service while on vacation or unavailable.
  9. Works with Product Managers/Owners and Designers to ensure the solution meets the requirements of the campus.
  10. Participate as a team member in support of Galen values.
  11. Maintain a positive work environment that supports quality.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned. 
Qualifications

Education: HS Graduate, Associate’s degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years Audio Visual and security camera systems experience required.

 Special Qualifications: Working knowledge of Av, security, surveillance, door entry systems. Galen uses the following vendors currently.

AV: Stem audio, Extron, Crestron, Zoom, Logitec, Epson Projectors, FSR smart boards

Security Systems: Avigilon, S2, Winpak, Kantech

Surveillance Systems: Avigilon, Honeywell, Hikeview

Card readers: Mercury

Networking: Cisco

 Physical/Mental Demands & Work Environment: Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Must be available outside of normal business hours to address critical technical issues. Must be able to travel via plane and drive to local campuses. Must have current driver’s license.

Degree of Supervision: Minimal.

Travel Required: 75% during buildouts, less during design phases
