The Manager, Care Process Engineering is responsible for the oversight and implementation of industrial engineering, Lean Six Sigma, and other process improvement methods into clinical process design. Additionally, this role will manage Care Process Design’s internal operations to ensure they are effective and efficient.
Major Responsibilities:
•Lead consultation on all workflow mapping and process evaluation/design sessions in support of enterprise clinical initiatives.
•Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate outputs of process evaluation into actionable components that address opportunities across multiple levels from overarching system to specific process steps.
•Introduce and leverage process improvement strategies and tools to measure process efficiency and identify opportunities for improvement (e.g. time study analysis, cause mapping, etc.).
•Conduct data analysis to gain insight into process opportunities.
•Create data visuals and presentations in collaboration with subject matter experts for high impact communication.
•Leverage industrial and systems engineering methods to diagnose and solve problems, either through onsite or remote analysis.
•Develop processes and operations using innovative designs, leveraging impact effort analysis and other needed tools.
•Support operational strategy and portfolio management for CPD. Facilitate the initiation and tracking of all work and initiatives within the CPD portfolio.
•Consult with initiative owners to maintain strategic alignment and ensure definition of key tactics, milestones, and deliverables for all work products of the Care Process Design team.
•Lead engineering initiatives from inception to implementation, utilizing and extending similar tools/techniques as in consultations.
•Plan and execute kaizen events and rapid design sessions.
•Design and maintain internal CPD processes, identifying opportunities for improved efficiency and automation.
Education & Experience:
•Bachelor's degree required
•Bachelor's degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering preferred
•Master's degree preferred
•3+ years of experience in process improvement required
•1+ year(s) of experience in a leadership role preferred
Licenses, Certifications, & Training:
•Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred
•Proficient in Microsoft Suite, including Visio preferred
•Proficient in Video Recording Platform(s) preferred
•Proficient in Minitab or similar statistical analysis software preferred
